Tuesday 23rd June 2020 - One look at love and you may see

Morning.

Lyrics - One look at love and you may see

It weaves a web over mystery

Sorry to hear about your fall RFJ, hope you haven't damaged yourself too much. Keep running and holding on.

My legs feel a little battered this morning but my knees don't seem to be too bad so I'm hoping they will allow a run. I shall see how they feel after walking Sammy and take it from there. It's looking as though it's going to be a lovely day and we are in for a few days of nice weather - cooling down for the weekend of course.

What:            hopefully some easy miles
Why:             sanity, Vit D and stress relief
Last hard:     sitting in front of the computer this afternoon will be hard
Last rest:      16/6
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

    Lyrics: no

What: 70 minutes preceded by stretches d&d. Just over 12k.

Why: probably this week's long run. Struggled more than on last week's 15k, but probably a combination of factors. A month ago today's run would have been the longest of years, so have had to tell myself not to be despondent about it. Hip and knees were fine; hamstrings and back weren't!

    Keep posting, RFJ

And come on Spurs and Leicester this evening!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    morning all
WP - take care and yes, I'l pass on your thoughts with the medal
LmH  - hope you got out for some miles
RFJ- take care and keep posting, I'm sure the running will help
Ale - sounds very thorough yesterday!
    Wabo - keep it easy

    What - easy run
Why - was tempted for a "session" but legs a bit heavy still and did do ~11k yesterday over the fields
    last rest - Saturday
last hard - run wise, Friday
    lyric - think so
  • Considering your fall that's not bad at all Alehouse and when you look at it in context too it looks even better. A shorter long run this week will hopefully leave you in a good place for a longer one next.

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling good Poppy - lovely day for a walk though.

Wabo - good that the stretches are helping.

I did thanks Dustin. My legs took a while to decide to join in but felt better by the time I finished. Enjoy the easy.

    The lyrics are old.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    nice running alehouse
lmh, yes these stretches are  helping so much, I don't think I could have done the fell run so many times without them as my calves used t o cease up! Glad your run got easier
dustin, yep listening to the body! Nice easy running you too
RFJ agree with alehouse, do keep posting
Yep come on Spurs and Leicester, two happy forumites to be had!!!

  • All sounds good folks. Bit odd on a running forum but not running. 7 mile walk this morning to beach on trail and back on road.
    Lyrics ..no idea!
Afternoon making rhubarb and ginger jam and reading in sheltered corner garden.
Folks welcome for tea and cake but be warned while we bake a good bit the bar has been raised by combination of daughters home and 60th birthday! May not be repeated soon!

Sorry about the fall RFJ. Hopefully no damage.

Calf strengthening programme sounds interesting Wabo. Good luck with the football.

Hope you had a nice walk WP.

Hope the run compensated for the PC hours a bit LMH.

Good news on the bruises Ale, less so the other bits.

Don't think I would be tempted by a session after a marathon yet Dustin.

Nice jam combo Els.   Nice walking distance too.

What: hiking followed by a shot recovery this evening
Why: bag a couple of pre-alp summits I haven't done before / keep the streak running (100 day goal)
Last hard: steep hills with legs tired from yesterday's cycling
    Last rest: 30.03
