Sunday 5th July 2020 - I spent my time, watching

Morning.

Lyrics - I spent my time, watching

The spaces that have grown between us

Windy here this morning. I'm not sure how much activity will occur - a walk doesn't even seem inviting at the minute but I will probably head out and see if it is as bad as it looks and sounds. Don't think there'll be much in the way of running but who knows, I may manage a few miles.

What:               something or nothing
Why:                wind/knackered knees
Last hard:        sleeping
Last rest:         16/6
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

    Lyrics: no

Yesterday's were America, Simon and Garfunkel

    What: probably a short run

Why: run to feel. And I think it will feel rather windy.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning

Having seen the pictures from yesterday, I dread to think what's going to happen next ....

What: a walk around a farm park
Why: socialising in a baby friendly, socially distanced way
Last hard: sleeping. Neighbours had a party until nearly 1. Was so loud we could hear it through closed Windows and headphones. They did warn us, but it was so loud
    Lyrics: nope

Hope you get out for something today lnh.

Ale sensible staying away for a while

Not too surprising about Hamburg I guess

    Nice to see you chamolk.

    Counting the days chick.

    Have a lovely day all

Good to see you, chamolk. I find that this thread helps me loads to keep up my motivation. Even these days when I cannot run.

Day 38 of my s&c streak though :)

Windy here too, LMH. Although quite warm - 21 degrees at 9am. Hope a walk made you feel better. I so hope I get the green light to walk when I see my surgeon on Friday 🤞🤞🤞

What are the rules with respect to pubs, ale? Not sure I'd feel comfortable around people drinking alcohol ...

    More weeding planned later.

    Morning all
Once again lmh you have expressed my thoughts/feelings. The wind is not appealing. Sitting here struggling to motivate. I know my mate will run later in the day with me but I think I need to get myself out now for a bit too as my mood slips into lockdown madness!!
Oh upstairs studying and cannot be disturbed.
Alehouse hope you get out and don't get blown about
Chicksta that's some streak seriously! I know I should do all of that and have the time but...
    Poppy nice one!
Emzap bet you'll feel tired today! Take it easy
What I think I'll pop out in a mo for short run, later with my mate for more
    Why it seems easier
    Last hard yesterday
    Last rest 31/12/16

Been holding off something this week hence why I've gone easy. Glands been a bit sore left side of neck, all easy today.

    Morning again!

    What: 45 minutes fairly gentle

Why: legs still not feeling as if they want to play, but better than the last two days. Wind was a pain in places but at least I stayed dry. Fortunately only really had the wind against for the last 2k and a short section in the middle: basically a long curve around the river bank and then back alongside the tram track. OH will know what I mean! Just over 50k for the week.

Take care, Wabo! Take it easy, Emz!

Hope it wasn't too bad out there for you, LMH

Chick: in theory one metre apart in pubs, give your contact details. I walked past two yesterday where you could see through the window of one that there was little space between people and the second had people sitting outside almost on top of one another. Fighting is of course compulsory, judging by some footage that I have seen.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • emzap - who on earth were they partying with until that time? Are you feeling better now? Hope you enjoy your outing and aren't too tired.

It was quite windy on our walk Alehouse and rained a bit near the end though it didn't last long.

Not long now chicksta. The pubs are supposed to be a distance of 1m plus mitigation, no standing at the bar and people are supposed to leave their name and contact details so that they can be traced but there is no requirement for them to provide proof of ID so I expect a lot of Mickey Mouse's etc.

Nice to see you building the miles Poppy.

Wabo - hope you feel better for a run.

My right knee made it very clear as I walked that it wasn't going to allow a run today. I probably could/should have walked a bit further (working from 1200hrs) but I've baked bread and cherry flapjack instead. A rest was needed.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Afternoon (here at least).

Pleased to see chamolk drop in again. Would be nice to see you more often - time permitting of course.

Hope order including carpets is fully restored soon OH.

Well done on keeping your weight despite your lack of mobility chicksta. That s&c must burn up some calories I guess? I skimmed through the concept for Hamburg and wouldn't want to take part under those conditions.

'Fraid I was late for our running date yesterday Ale, but nice to see Wabo kept you company. Well done on the week's distance.

Understand your need to get out Wabo but please be careful if you feeling a bit unwell.

Boo to the wind LMH. Don't like it either.

Boo +1 to the party next door emzap. At least they warned you.  Enjoy the farm walk.

Nice distance despite the achilles WP.

Pubs, clubs and bars are turning out to be a problem here.

What: 26.2k long run d&d this morning
Why: fairly regular habit, needed some space
Last hard: getting up for that (hot again today), but had to shoot out of bed having had a juicy mouse dropped in the middle of it!
    Last rest: 30.03.

    Lyrics: no

LMH I think about 20 or 30 other teenagers.  I was feeling better but after that awful night I feel awful again so off to bed for me to try and improve by tomorrow.  I can't be off work for longer than a week!
  • With social distancing, of course, emzap LOL
Hope tonight is better for you.
