I've stopped working out as much as I usually do thanks to the Covid outbreak but my immunity has fallen to pieces. Can anyone advise on what to do to build it back up?
Bit late coming to this, but I'd agree fully with DT19. Only thing I'd add is moderate exercise.
There's any number of supplements and potions available, but I've never seen any good evidence that any of them actually do much, so I dont bother with any of them myself
I've read that a Vitamin D supplement is essential in staving off Covid. I use 'Nature's Answer 4000 IU'. One of the very nest things you can do for your immune system is do your best to get your 8 hours of sleep, via good 'sleep hygiene'. The book, 'Why We Sleep" was a real eye-opener for me. If we don't get enough our immune systems run at 50% making us more susceptible to all manner of nasties.
Eat more fruits and vegetables that are rich in nutrients called antioxidants which is good to increase the immune system. There are main three vitamins are beta-carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin E. You’ll find them in colorful fruits and vegetables, especially those with purple, blue, red, orange, and yellow color. Regular exercise and a stress-free mind also have more impact on the immune system.
It is impossible to boost your immunity, however if you are deficient in something, then you can restore your immunity. As said before Vitamin D is very helpful, especially this time of year, so is Zinc and Vitamin C.
