I only  knew my second claim club had another run to be done for points yesterday, I have until Sunday, I know the course and I know it will be raining but today's the best day to do it plus a slightly faster (than me)mate has offered to do it with me 🥺

    Morning!

Yesterday's lyrics were "Roll with it", Oasis.
    Can't think of today's!

    Enjoy today's challenge, Wabo!

What: easy run with M75 plus stretches

    Why: ran hard yesterday.

Socially distanced optician appointment later, which will be the first time in town since February!

Edit: yes, have been thinking about working to a 10 to 14 day schedule, not that I really work to a schedule! the important thing is to keep injury free...so stretches any minute!

And please flag the post above mine! (Not Wabo's!)
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Lifting more tatties
Perhaps some painting, turbo and video compiling (eChurch)
    Self isolation activities
Hard with nice weather (yes) and not being able to get out. A nice swim would help my ureteric colic no end.
Trying to avoid too much rest (DVT prevention!)
    Lyrics no

For once it sounds as if we are getting best of weather.  :)

    Post flagged
  • Flagged.

Definitely sounds as though you are getting the best of the weather OH.

No, not the same as running emzap. Hope your legs feel better today.

Enjoy your run with company Alehouse.

Glad you had a nice meal out Wabo.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning again!

    One more flag needed!

What: 40 mins with M75, stretches done

Why: easy day; time constraints as well. Shower then tram to optician.

Edit: light drizzle for our run; bouncing off the pavement now!

  • Morning,

Wabo Good luck today with challenge!

    What: 6 miles
Why: eek London marathon solo run
Last hard: Coming to terms with what I have done!
    Lyrics: Yes

    Flagged

    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.
    Progression
  • One large bucket of Tatties, two binbags full of weeds; productive morning.

Killed the spam (feels good to click the killing click :joy:)

5.5km walked with friend and her 2 children, so 2 buggies and 3 children!
Was a lovely walk but got soaked!

    Ale good you're being sensible
    Oh how long left?
Lmh how are you feeling today?
    Wabo that's great!

    Have a lovely day all
  • DustinDustin ✭✭✭
    Afternoon all
Ale - hope the optician visit doesn't prove costly!
    OH - excellent harvesting
WP - London? over rated  :D
    What - half a mile
Why - thats when hammy said, "no,no,no" So LMH was right, should have rested it. Managed 5k last night after work, in the dark, and it seemed ok then.
Oh well, I guess no track tomorrow now.
last rest - well from now for a few days I guess
last hard - getting something back and then getting niggled.
Doing better than a lot of people though, so keeping it real...

    Afternoon!

Sorry to hear about the hamstring, Dustin. Take care.

Optician: after lots of testing (felt safe) prescription remains same for glasses; however optician wants me to see a contact lens specialist in the next few weeks and also as I was borderline on the pressure test will be referred to the eye hospital... again. The last time this happened the hospital more or less said why are you here. All free. As was the tram. One of the benefits of being old.

    Sounds a fun walk, Emz!

    And thanks, flaggers!

  • I’d have preferred to be wrong in this instance Dustin. I hope it only takes a couple of days.

I bet you weren’t expecting weather like this when you decided to do your challenge now emzap. Well done for completing another one. No discernible improvement 🙁

I bet your tatties taste lovely OH. Over half way now?
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Afternoon..

Shame I missed a post killing opportunity - like watching them implode..

Have a good run Wabo if not yet done. Glad you had a nice meal. Lejog sounds doable.

Hmm tatties, homegrown taste even better OH. Nice combination of activities. What are you planning to paint? Hope Els is ok.

Wearing a four kilo cat on my legs is pretty tiring after a while emzap but Lucas is quite a bit heavier!

WP has been naughty then (s. London) ;)

Bouncing rain here now too Ale. Glad the optician didn't cause any costs, glasses can be expensive.

Not good regarding the hammy Dustin. Hope it responds quickly to some rest.

Bad weather has now come in LMH but was ok for the rest of the week.

What: 11 miles around a lake bit of the Aare river
Why: Taking advantage of the dry morning hours. Hadn't run this section yet.
Last hard: bits of that were nasty steep on trails  (steps) and legs tired. Leisurely 2:04 therefore (running shouldn't always be about times anyway)
    Last rest: 30.03.

    Lyrics: no

Hazel: Your run sounds lovely. Nice miles.

OH: Keeping busy by the look of it. How is Els?

    Glad I missed the spambot

Em: you're doing really well with the challenge. Hope it's still enjoyable and hasn't turned into a chore.

Glad your little excursion into town went well, ale.

How did it feel to be back in the office, Dustin?

Did you enter the virtual London, Poppy? It sounds like it :)

    How are the knees, LMH?

Wabo: Not many mile left to do ;)

What: another 5k with about 2 miles of running in there
Why: wanted to and I was sensible yesterday and the day before
Last hard: not running as much as my head would like
    Last rest: Monday
    Lyrics: no
  • You'll soon be back to where you want to be I'm sure chicksta. Knee is not good.

Too right Hazel - most of our running should be for enjoyment not times. Are you pleased that the weather has broken?
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
