Morning!

Lyrics: My tea's gone cold
I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window
And I can't see at all

Up early watching cricket from India. Body clock is totally out of phase! Slept very early yesterday so now wide awake.

What: no exercise

Why: not ready post hospital. Els: consultant said exercise when I feel that I am ready...and I'm not!

And thank you again everyone for your thoughts and support!

And yes, LMH is particularly missed as a mainstay of this thread! Hope that you are lurking and pop in to tell us of progress!
And hope to hear from Emz, WP, Chamolk...and anyone else out there!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

The lyrics are familiar I know I should know them

  • Morning again!

Does that mean that you will be doing 28k on 28th, Wabo?
    Yesterday's lyrics?

  • Maybe a run, maybe a swim, maybe both.
    Maybe tearoom (we're still allowed)
Still cold with easterly wind bringing more wintry showers.
Glad your home AH - take it easy until you're ready.
    Dangerous trend there Wabo
Sounds as if cricket was worth staying up for ... :)

Alehouse on the 28th you can add the two and do 10🤣. It's the run the sum game. Double figure days you have the option to add the two numbers
Yesterday's lyrics were Leonard Cohen, bird on a wire

  • I see, Wabo! 2+8 is perfectly doable!

Jealous of two out of three things, OH! Not the swim! Definitely the run and perhaps the tea rooms.

  • Ale...bet it's good to be home though! Relax and recover in your own time.
Good vibes missing folk. Come back soon.
    Wabo...enjoy the run.
Inspired by crazy vet friend I am doing the Feb challenge 1 to 28k per day but in a random manner. There are going to be some tough days in there. Today going to be a short one as longer run is to be attempted tomorrow.
Bread making and lemon drizzle cake making this morning plus sew up knitting and a run.
    Lyrics...back to no idea.
Wabo...dental probs sound painful. I need a broken tooth looked at but think they're only seeing folk with pain and probably best to wait til I finish antiplatelets.
  • Bonus is I will be good at converting miles to k!

so annoying, I got half a mile into my run and a delivery man rang to say he was on his way, I set off 90 mins before they were due.  Turned round, called oh as it was a heavy delivery. They arrived - he didn't so I dragged and hefted it in by myself. So now I have another 1.75 miles to complete todays distance, oh and when I turned and went another direction I tripped on a low kerb, hurt right hand and right cheek bone. Lots of make up on cheek bone cos oh, will not be best pleased!!
Saturday all going different to how I expected.....

  • Ouch Wabo!

Fresh snow on Marwick Head and felt arctic along with the strong cold easterly.
Warm up with hot soup afterwards.
    Passing on swim today!

  • (Els scrubs up well!)
  • Ouch wabo....what a pain!
Enjoyed our run in the snow but pretty cold.
    Everyone else is missing :(
Huddled close to fire now despite central heating.

  • (Els scrubs up well!)
She does indeed. Great pics :)

Good to hear you're back home, Ale. And agree what the others said. Don't rush it and let your body decide.

Ouch, wabo! Hope it's just a few bruises and nothing too bad.

    Great challenges, Els and wabo.

I have reached out to LMH. She's taking a bit of a break from posting but she will be back.

More boring s&c here. So far no sign of the blizzard and it looks like we're being spared. Further south is a different story though.
  • Evening

Hope you have been getting in some more quality rest Ale.

Ouch indeed Wabo, hope you aren't too sore tomorrow. Enjoy run the sum.

Good luck with that challenge Els, mixing up the distances sounds like a good plan.

Don't blame you on the swim OH. What do you need to do again for the PBC? I think that is still ongoing?

Nice pics of you both. Soup well deserved after the snow.

Fingers crossed the weather stays away Chicksta. Not long till the boot is off? Fingerprints were for my residency permit. Not up for renewal as such, but need a new one due to moving so got called in by officialdom.

    Hope absent posters are okay.

What: 12ish k, some solo, some with a couple of others interspersed with some rolling around on mats (individually!).
    Why: Saturday training
Last hard: core exercices - ouch! Much neglected.
    Last rest: 30.03
