Morning!

Lyrics: xxxxx, you're breaking my heart
You're shaking my confidence daily

What: stretches and hopefully around 40 minutes running

Why: injury protection plus MLR at present

Weather doesn't look very favourable! 8 degrees and wet!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

No I'll effects from yoga yesterday so cautiously hopeful ...
  • Sounds like autumn has arrived in the UK then?

Good luck with your runs OH and Ale.

OH, I like those monochrome pics as well.

What: maybe some speedwork - might postpone it to tomorrow though
Why: still some niggly bits from Monday's hiking
    Last rest: 30.03.20

  • Left Edinburgh in sunshine yesterday after nice goodbye with Thomas.srrived
Bristol in monsoon conditions..v wet evening and night.
Different day this morning and run to and around Ashton park in bright sun. Lots of navigational stops! 11m chalked up.
    Lyrics yep
Nice running all. And racing at weekend wabo

  • Hiya
    Els - decent mileage
OH - hope you got out too?
    Ale - enjoy the MLR
Wabo - well done squeezing it in

Thought I'd posted yesterday, clearly not:
3 mile warm up, then club session of 3x1800s (200)
Heavens opened and it was monsoon season. I am not exaggerating when I said it's probably the heaviest rain I've run in. By rep 3 the field was ankle deep with surface water in places, the car park was under 3 inches of water. Nice to run in though. 10 miles all in.
Today - 6miles easy at lunchtime
Why - recovery plus running with work pal on the way back from injury
    last rest - 14/08
last hard - yesterday, for a variety of reasons!
    lyric - yes!
  • Afternoon!

    Sounds wet, Dustin!

    Enjoy Bristol, Els!

Hope you got out for a run, OH!

Be careful with the niggles, Hazel!

Hope the legs are ok after the weekend, Wabo! Thought of you near the end of my run...

What: 6.76k. Had initially stopped the watch at 6.66, but may have got told off for that!

Why: MLR, i.e. around two thirds of my long run. And despite waiting for a dry window, got soaked.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Dustin v little decent mileage happened post Tiree...too much else going on. Need to get back into it as have glen ogle in Nov...if I can get back to running long before then!
Ale...enjoyed the morning, this afternoon set off to do some shopping for daughter while she worked..did the food stuff no bother then tried to get to a shop in main shopping centre and went round and round in ever decreasing circles. Never found it,bought something else probably won't suit then got lost on way back. So not a city girl! Can do Glasgow and Edinburgh but that's about it!
Hot and frazzled now but hey ho!
    Looking forward to Orkney now!
  • 5k *slow* run around Scapa followed by picking up apple windfalls.  Stiff and sore following.
Recontacted holiday agency re reimbursement of emergency plumbing fees - hopefully sorted now but won't be confident until money is in my bank.
Back feeling a bit better after pleasant swim in low sun late this afternoon.
See physio again tomorrow afternoon ...
