Hi everyone, I'm new to running but am determined to become a decent runner. I've decided to do the 'Couch to 5K' challenge, and am beginning tomorrow morning!
I'm very nervous, especially as it means getting up and going out at 6am, before school (I'm a very unfit 16 year old)! Going to sleep in my running clothes, and put my alarm out of reach in order to motivate myself to get out of bed.
Couch to 5k includes short sections of running and walking, which over a couple of months should hopefully build up to solid running!
Wish me luck, I'll keep posting my progress x

Good luck
Good luck and keep us posted
Brilliant jess, hope you got up at 6am, first step is always the hardest, get over that and you will do great. Good luck!!
Well done Jess! Take one day at a time, run at a pace you can hold a conversation at and always have a rest day between runs while you do the programme. Good luck!
I started a programme called run your butt off and am now on week 6 - doing 3 minute walks and 7 minute jog for 33 minutes. At about 3 stone overweight and approaching 60 it is not quite as fast an increase as the C25K. The first week i had no idea I could even run for 1 minute so to have got up to 7 minutes - about 1/2 mile is amazing!
Still going Jess?
