Morning! Lyrics nope. I especially don't like the hour change on top of a 2am finish to the wedding party last night..that was old time! But it was good...lots of socialising and dancing...felt very strange after all this time but in a good way! Dunno what today...v tired! A friend who lived here is up for the weekend so are going to try to meet for coffee later...if she hasn't brought her running kit! Hazel...shopping is a pain...I was annoyed to have spent some time in Aberdeen the other week shop browsing aimlessly while waiting for train then realised later that decathlon had opened up there. Missed running gear opportunity!
Well done on the 22, Chick! Get that massage booked! And fog is about the only thing I don't run in.
Hope you manage a run, Els! Don't think I could make 10 o'clock, never mind 2!
What: change of plan. Realised that I can't fit my longer run in tomorrow, so 64 minutes d&d
Why: osteoporosis check up tomorrow morning so switched Monday's longer run to today. Not sure when I will fit in my fitness suite session. Perhaps after the appointment tomorrow as it is on the way back from the hospital
Brought up 46k for the week, highest for 14 months but only because of moving the longer run. Will be a lower volume week next week I suspect.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
Hiya Chick - well done on the mileage, soon got back to where you were. 22 is a serious run! Els - hope you got out Ale - well done on the longer effort plus the weekly tally. Good luck with the appointment tomorrow. What - 13 miles easy trails Why - stretching the legs last rest - 26/03 last hard - Tuesday lyric - nope
Strange to see you take a day off after a pretty long streak Dustin, but they all need to end at some point and I can imagine the mara has greater priority.
That seems quite expensive for a race Ale, though I have no experience with such. Good you could do your run today instead of tomorrow and if everything held up well on that week's mileage then things are looking good there too as well or not? Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
I found a newly opened Decathlon here yesterday Els, my standard shoe was on offer but I didn't buy a pair having just spent too much elsewhere! I got a cheap running jacket from them years ago which is still going strong. Glad you had a nice evening yesterday, I don't think I could manage 2am either.
Well done on the 22 Chicksta - shame it was foggy. Take good care of the hammie!
What: 20.25m LR
Why: ticking the 20m box (for the first time)
Last hard: that was hard enough for now. The first 5m weren't nice - I couldn't get myself sorted with regards to pace. It was only when I put in 5k of faster stuff that I settled down. Last few k were also a bit quicker for a strongish finish
So after 5 negative lfts (hubby was positive, we all have symptoms) I went for a pcr and it was positive. At least I have an excuse for feeling like utter carp. Have no energy still.
Annoying too as I was getting there with running...
Sounds like you had fun last night els!
Wow a lot of crazy mileage going on today. I walked up and down the stairs 10 times, does that count?
Family cake baking today, we are running out of entertainment coming into our 3rd week of isolation in march...
Emz...sorry to hear that...very bad luck! Hope the cake baking at least leaves you with something good to eat! Not much here, working then 4m on cliff path at scapa...best place locally to see the spring flowers...primroses are out! Hopefully a bit more tomorrow.
