Morning!

Lyrics: Wednesday morning at five o'clock
As the day begins

Yesterday's were The Boys are Back in Town, Thin Lizzy.

What: probably an easy run, perhaps with a few strides

Why: niggles! Will see when I get going.

Going to be a warm day! Have already done an hour plus gardening with probably more later, either at mine or my daughter's.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

  • Morning from the infected!
Feel a wee bit better but v wobbly. Peter has had first negative test so prospects of resupplying tomorrow if he stays negative. I'm only on day 4. Doing 3 lots of laundry was exhausting yesterday! It was a dreich day for midsummer too! Hoping it dries a bit and might have the excitement of cutting the grass!
Do some running for me! I'll have forgotten how!
Not warm here, not chilly but just cool.

    Morning again!

    Good news re OH, Els.

    What: 1k, then progressive 4k, 1k. With the quicker Kms 5:30, 5:29, 4:59, 4:45

Why: test new shoes! And the legs.

    Morning

Maybe you got our hot weather Ale?  It is raining here at last.  Nice progression.  New shoes good?

Take it easy Els.  Good to hear you are feeling a bit better.

Shame you missed the swimming OH but good news too covidwise.

Great club result in the vets league Dustin.

It is going off plan I struggle with chicksta but I likely don't do myself any favours.

    What: cycle?
Why: rest day runningwise, unsure I can get it done before the next round of wet turns up (with thunderstorms and joined up rain forecasted).
    Last rest: 21.06.22
Last hard: sleeping - very humid last night.

    Lyrics: no

    Hiya
Els - good to hear OH is on the mend
Ale - nice session and new wheels too!
Hazel - ohh weather sounds unfamiliar, enjoy the ride if you get out

    What - 7mile / 1hr easy
    Why - recovery
    last rest - 11/6
last hard - yesterday in the end. Did the club timed pyramid. Not fast fast, more threshold like pace but no real grumbles from the hammy.
Chick - may be right about roads during mara training. The reps and the LTs were road, but I think nearly all long runs were on trail.
    lyric - hmm, not sure

Els so sorry to see you got it as well!!! Wishing you both better
I've had a quick trip to Cornwall, pick up mum but took sis in law to see Diana Ross last night at Eden project. Absolutely amazing night.

On way back to Ramsgate now with mum.
    Dustin nice training
    Hazel enjoy the cycle
Ale did the legs and shoes perform well?
Nothing to report here. Might try and get physio to see me Saturday. Foot still sore with a tendency to swell on these travelling days

Testing your patience there, wabo. Fingers crossed.

Els: Good to hear that your household has recovered by 50%. Take it easy.

    Nice pace, Ale!

Hope the thunderstorms are not too bad, Hazel.

14 miles with some hills. It was mighty hot and I'm glad it's done.

    No to lyrics today.

Tues no run but a 12½ mile walk. Bonkers

    What 5km
    Why has to be done

    Evening!

Doing well, Pammie! You are getting a decent block together!

    Sounds tough, Chick!

Was hoping for better news re the ankle, Wabo!

About 25 degrees here and forecast for similar tomorrow: that's a major heatwave in these parts! A fair amount of gardening this pm but did keep having breaks to watch cricket on TV and cool down. Also visited grandchild!

New shoes were fine, Hazel...and back in the box for now! Have plenty of other shoes on the go but was intrigued to see how they felt. Legs weren't too bad either.
