All you ladies in the Surrey area the Epsom Allsorts’ annual race, the Hogsmill Ladies 5, is just two weeks away on 9 May. It’s a friendly race for lady runners of all abilities from racers (course record 30.54 - 6.10m/m) to plodders (slowest time 77.00 –15.24m/m) and we guarantee the loudest cheers for the tail enders. There are kid's races (enter on the day) before the main event so bring the family along too.
Forumites comments about last years thread can be seen
here and there’s an active thread for this years race on the events forum. If you’re interested in coming along, entry is either via the events section of this site or entry forms and more details are available on the
club website Closing date for postal entries is the end of this week (30/4) but there will be entries on the day if the race limit has not been exceeded by then.
The race also marks the end of club’s beginners programme so there’ll be lots of first time racers there too.
Most popular feature of the event usually proves to be the cake stall (proceeds to charity) and there may even be special goodies for forumites at the end - if I can find the cool box!

Quite a few of these ladies didn't believe us when we told them back in February that they'd be able to run 5 miles by early May. We celebrated their achievement with (very weak) bucks fizz and croissants and they're all really looking forward to next Sunday.
