Bad Trainers?

I'm training for the Flora half marathon and am having trouble with my ankle. I usually run for an hour but when I run for over an hour I get really bad pain in my ankle, could this be due to bad trainers? As I'm worried as I don't want this to happen on th ebig day.

  • Seeing as no one else has answered you Kim, I'll try and help. You'd be best advised to go to a running shop and get properly fitted out with a good pair of shoes. If your'e running in ordinary, general trainers, this could well be your problem. Most specialist shops are genuinely helpful, just tell them what you want them for. If you still get pain thereafter you may have some weakness in your ankle which might be worth getting checked by a sports physio. They cost between £15 and £25 per hour consultation.
