Returned from pods, rather disappointed. She confirmed that the prescription is correct. However, the insoles have been cut too small so they have to go back. Will probably be another 2 weeks before I get them, then goodness knows how long before I can plod in them. Miracles may have to wait awhile!

in-laws arrive in 50 mins and i've got the whole house to clean, washing to put away, a bed to make, photo studio equipment to dismantle and store away, dinner to make, windows to clean and pups to walk...... someone unplug me 'cos i'm not gonna do any of it while i'm on this!!!!!!

Went to 1st leg of 2005 East Kent relays last night in Folkestone but couldn't run due to back pain post osteo appt. She tells me not to exert myself anyway the same day so it's probably just as well I was to achey to run.
It was a glorious evening and you felt as if you could just stretch out your arm and touch France it looked so close....
(((Berry)))) You will be very tired, but I hope by the end of the day you will feel you paid the tribute you wanted to and did justice to your lovely mum. We are thinking of you.

Odin: Glad you had a good time---tolja it was a great place! And you only scratched the surface!! If you bring the Land Rover next time I guarantee you can fill it to the brim with goodies and still have a long want-list left over.
CdK: thought of you this morning chugging a couple of miles along the beach at Noordwijk. Very proud as I managed to lever myself out of bed at 6 (espite VERY VERY good conference dinner last night in a restaurant that's in an old windmill built in 1654. Without your inspiring example I probably wouldn't have managed to get up.

A blonde woman was speeding down the road in her little red sports car and was pulled over by a woman police officer who was also a blonde.
The blonde officer asked to see her driving licence.
The blonde driver dug through her purse and was getting progressively more agitated and confused – ‘what does a driving licence look like?’ she finally asked.
The blonde police woman replied ‘It’s square and it has your picture on it’.
The blonde driver pulled out a square mirror, looked at it and handed it over the blonde policewoman saying ‘here it is officer’.
The blonde officer looked at the mirror, handed it back and said ‘OK, you can go – sorry, I didn’t realise you were a cop too’.
