Lasik Eye Surgery

I've got a consultation booked for middle of October to see if I'm suitable for lasik eye surgery for shortsightedness.
Have any of you had it and what were your experiences?

Hiya TT. If you put the word laser in the searchy thingy you'll find quite a few threads on this.
Basically, people who have had it done think it's great. Other wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
I had it done 3 or 4 years ago and I wish I'd had it done years earlier.
I used Ultralase in Chester. Had it done one afternoon, I was back at work within 2 days with excellent eyesight.

I had Lasik surgery in 2000 and it is the best thing that I have ever spent my money on.

Implanted Contact Lenses for me. More expensive than laser surgery but less chance of anything going wrong. In the very unlikely event that something does go wrong, they can be removed.
The best £2k I ever spent.
