heckenhocker might be on the right lines - it could be to do with your style, or something else, being uneven.
After the Llandudno 10, I had one sore foot and one sore calf, the only explanation I could think of is that one of my shoes seemed slightly looser than the other.
Maybe try one-legged strength exercises and stretches (train both legs), see if that helps even things out.
Hee hee!! It feels like I run in circles at times!
I just can't figure out what it is, I've had my gait analysed, my legs massaged, tried extra stretching... The pain is a bit in my calf & a bit in the muscle that runs beside the bone towards the front of my leg?
Thinking some more about the running in circles thing....do you run on the road....could it be the camber meaning one leg is lower than the other?
I often find niggles and aches go after a few miles....I think endorphins (or summat), or maybe my body deciding "oh heck she's at this mad running again, might as well put up with it"
<looks at coat rack.....doh, still empty....could do with an extra coat today>
I know this post was a while ago, but I think I have the same issue. On the off chance you are still around...Does your leg feel tight after running for a bit but as soon as you stop it relaxes after about 30 seconds? I have seen two physics, but no one seems to know what is wrong. Mine feels like a blood pressure cuff around the leg when I run.

Could it be compartment syndrome?
