Haven't heard that in ages. My favourite OMD was probably "Statues" off "Organisation". The phone box with the number quoted in Red Frame White Light still stands btw - I pass it on the way to the station each morning....
All the sites I tend to see are Nokia - I have now moved to an Ericsson thingy (colour screen, work paid for it) so I can't download the song (Z cars theme) that I want. Rather have a basic ring, though, than most tunes that you hear.
Barkles are you serious? if Rab Douglas hadn't came onto the pitch wearing Gordon Marshalls' gloves, we would have gubbed the huns nae bother. 2 mistakes 2 goals. I just can't bear to think about it. I've had to endure gloating hun fans all week at work - anyone would think they'd won.
Where did you find that?! I had that on single when I was about five, with 'Halfway down the stairs' on the other side. My favourite was Mahnamanump though - I used to drive my poor mother mad with that....
Can't remember - on a website somewhere - its pretty good though. The doo doo doo-doo-doo is a bit fast though. I really want the duelling banjos rfom Deliverance though. I wasn't even born when Mahnamanump first came out I don't think - when was it in the charts?
Mike - only the select few know what the Z cars theme represents and I'm of the generation that doesn't remember the show. Been waiting for a Blue to recognise the image.
Gavo - I thought your pic was the one off the Fairview South African wine bottles - there's a tower in front of the wine estate with goats in it and they have a picture of it on their labels....your pic looks just like it!
If you did use the Deliverance "Duelling Banjos" theme aren't you worried you'll start hearing those most (in)famous Deliverance quotes (as reproduced on the other thread earlier today) "sure has a pretty mouth" "squeal like a piggy!"
;-)
All of a sudden I quite fancy the idea of using the piano theme from The Conversation (one of my favorite films). Shouldn't be too difficult to compose on the mobile....
The reason I want Duelling Banjos is because I work in Edinburgh and I come from Fife and am ALWAYS being ribbed about how 'inbred' we all are over the bridge so I was wanting it for ironic reasons.
If anyone told me to squeal like a pig they might find they can do a better impression themselves after I booted them in the n**s!!!
FANY - sorry, just saw your last message. I plead complete ignorance of South African wine bottles, although if they want to use the tower then let it be. The one that I'm thinking of has no goats anywhere near it (though several donkeys over the years I must admit, and am sure Mike S will agree.)
Mine is the Simpsons theme tune (fairly obviously) and I also have the professionals theme tune. My other half has the south bank show theme tune which is excellent (can't get it on my phone though)

Keep on thinking about replacing it with Derek and the Dominoes' "Layla" but haven't got around to it yet.....
"It's a grand old team to play for
it's a grand old team to see
and if you know the history..."
Sorry. Got carried away there.
For remarks such as yours Jeffsy, go forth to the dark side of the forum and never return.
I've got Enola Gay by OMD on my mobile. And my logo is a pretty cool Winnie the Pooh chilling out on his back.....
Your lot bit lucky on Sunday!

6 3 2
3 double O 3
yes - the number's still the same as well.
Gavo
Z Cars theme? - and I have been wondering about that FaceIT motif. A fellow Blue at last!
I was passed a slightly cryptic message from Jon to pass on to you (and hope you know what he's talking about...)
'your's is ready, need number?'

fair comment - though fleeting glimpses of the odd thoroughbred are becoming more common nowadays.
Switched my ringtone over the weekend - to "Layla".
"Marching on Together" as well (come on you super-whites)
Glad they're all smart enough to appreciate irony! Can think of one or two round here that wouldn't.....
