I have been running 10k's for a short while and would like a training partner/s in the Woodford (IG8/Essex)area for long sunday morning runs and possible shorter evening runs in summer. I hope to have a place in the FLM 2004. My running pace is approx 9/10 min mile.
Look forward to your response.

There's some 1/2 Marathon training schedules on this site. Start off nice and easy and gradually build up your weekly long and you'll be fine by September.
Where and when do you go out for your long runs and do you go with anyone? I'm doing a lot of road running at the moment. Charlie Brown's to Gants Hill to Barkingside and back.
For my long run I normally start in Fullwell Ave (where I live) run down to Fullwell Cross, down Forest Road, through Hainault Industrial Estate, up the hill by Hainault Forest to towards Ghigwell church, along Manor Road (past Manford Way and Grange Hill tube station), down Fencpiece Rd, through a couple of side roads back to Fullwell Avenue then back to Fullwell Cross and down Forest Road to Fairlop Waters, turn around back to Fullwell and along to the end of Fullwell Ave (The Glade end). Does any of that make any sense to you? I'm going to do my long run tonight because me and a friend are running the BAD 5 in Barking on Sunday.
