People tell me I haven't changed at all but I don't feel the same. I bet you've had that feeling to, you acn't laugh all the time. That lyric says a lot about me post accident in 1995. Otherwise all their lyrics were B*******s up until 1986. Music was great though! As for U2 mege deep lyrics, always!
I'm having 80s nightmares whilst running lately. Where the hell did Pepsi & Shirley spring from?? I've got absolutely no idea myself, but they've been in my head for the past couple of runs at least.
I have a deep appreciation for music but sometimes deep and meaningful is no good to run to though? I don't want to sit on the pavement and cry do I.
If I run with music (which I rarely) the stuff I'd listen to probably has little artistic merit, I mean I once ran to "Jingle Bells" this winter. LOL... Nice pace... da da daaa da da daaa da dada dada
My flatmate was their (DD) sound engineer in the early 90s so actually knew them quite well for a while. Also lived within spitting distance from Warren after he bought Simon's old house in Battersea. Probably would not rate them as most favourite band in the world but nice enough guys.
Namaste - freaky! Mel & Kim have been popping in and out of my head recently as well, but not on a run... although something tells me that could change this (Get Fresh at the) Weekend.
evening all, whilst dd and u2 are ok ??? there are far better bands and tracks to run to( stands by for onslaught). think alot depends on what type of run you're doing, at the mom on my mp3 are zztop, various 80's tracks, Rodrigo y Gabriella, thin lizzy, montrose, nine below zero, van halen, boston, ac/dc,garth brooks, aerosmith, opera and some classical, slade, the kinks, scissor sisters, guns'n' roses, foo fighters, john miles, and many more of all genres, only down side is the OH, has on safety grounds, talked me out of running with it so now only listen to it at the gym. Hey has anyone ran to sinnerman by nina simone? goes on for about 10 min really great to run to. best go now bet you're all bored rigid, sorry
I'm getting 'And you wanted to dance, so I asked you to dance' tattooed in my back, it has significant meaning to me. See, told you I was a sad bint.
Current things I like running to include When September Ends by Green Day, also American Idiot. Lose Yourself by Eminem is excellent to run to. I must confess I still have Tears for Fears 'Everyone wants to rule the world' on the old iPod too!
Something to ponder is my new, final acceptance of INXS. I suppose Ialways liked the music post Kick but hated the crap surrounding Hutchence. Musically very good. Trot to Need You Tonight, Suicide Blonde. As for the BIG TWO, how about Big Thing? or Pride in the Name Of Love?
must say DD don't do much for me, and don't have any U2 on my MP3. My favourite tracks at the moment(which seem to match my incredibly slooooow pace perfectly) are Holiday by Greenday and Middle Eastern Holiday by Hard Fi
Whilst out running casually listening to my Bryan Adams collection I find my boyf has downloaded NWA 100 miles and running.....wots all that about then?!!!

Pesky FLM training!
Will You Be Back Tomorrow? Song a bout a lost mother.
As for Pepsi and Shirley? Go to another string this is a cultured string.

Still giggling about Phil... getting fresh on the weekend with Mel & Kim!
