After the other thread stuff to put you off running, what keeps you running!
That feeling of being in really fit good shape is a feeling i can't be without, and am struggling a bit now it's currently gone by way of injury!
Combining some good music with a good hard run is my favourite feeling...yep you heard me!!
Being able to have a massive choice of thousands of races all over the country is great too. I can't wait to get back and just pick random races to visit weird and wonderful..ish places. can't wait to get uninjured and explore some new places and races, some that are a bit outside the normal scope of locality, to escape the usual faces and rivalries that build over years.
i love the pansy little running vests to run in, the feeling of being cool in even hot weather is terrific. especially when it's a club vest, tho i am considering giving up my lovely yellow and blue club vest for a new clubs bland red one! doh.
The way that you have to keep disicplined with both training and eating, ina way football at park level you don't have to. I used to play sunday leage football and players would "entertain" me with "hilarious" stories of late nights, bad food booze, yet still think they can play the next day. shocking

The buzz of the races!
Its de-stressing.
I enjoy replenishing the carbohydrates etc (How good does a cold beer tase after a good long run? Very good.)
And if I haven't been running for a couple of days, when I see others running I really want to get back out there.
oh, and beacuse I like eating crisps!
Plus, I can go out for a meal with my girlie friends and eat what I like, while they're all picking over the diet options.

And because I'd be even fatter if I didn't.
Don't want to diet again.....
never again.......
ever
run at 75% of max HR, and the time just drifts by - best two hours of the week (out of bed!)
completely switch off time.
just one foot in front of the other time.
(and the effect of showing hubby what it feels like to have your other half return from a run red faced, sweaty and very smelly)
Yeah...I was fed up of being the only one smelling sweet in a house of stinky trainers.
Lovely sunshine, but a cooling breeze from the North. Sun shimmering off the river, and dappling through the trees on the islands. Kids on the swings, and a couple of boats out on the duck pond. Running through a snow-storm of blossom and hurdling the dying daffodil clumps.
Then a bracing cool shower and lunch at my desk.
And just for the sheer joy of being able to do something which for years I convinced myself I couldn't.
