Plodding hippo, name and shame the club please. Thats disgusting what they said to you, but i can assure you that clubs like this are in a very very small minority. Dont be put off by these morons!

Skip - if you live in Fulham, why not team up with the Serpentiners in Hyde Park? It's only a few stops along the District Line.
They have a great website (www.serpentine.org.uk) and seem like a very helpful and sociable lot. I'd join them if I lived nearer.

Clubs in South West London include the windmilers in Wimbledon.
They train at Wimbledon Rugby club on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and do a long run on Sundays at the windmill in Wimbledon Common.
(By the way I don't belong to them as I can't train on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
