Does anyone know where I can take old trainers which are past their best. Local charity shops only seem to want ones in decent condition. I've heard of schemes where old trainers are sent to the third world but not sure where to take them locally (Penzance) for this. Would the "Textile" banks at recycling centres be my best bet or do the old trainers end up in landfill?

Sweatshop collect them, I think, for re-use in places where shoes are hard to come by.
There doesn't seem to be one further south than Bristol, though.
I think there is a retirement home.
Where old trainers can be put out to graze and enjoy their twilight years.
It`s called "DUN TRAININ"
Personally speaking I can`t bear to part with my old faithfuls. We`re one big happy family.
Thanks!
