Just did a max heart rate test this evening using a hill of 150 metres, short but steep. Did five sprints up with recovery jog down. on the fourth ascent my heart rate hit 180 and I could not get it any higher on the fifth attempt. As my previous test 6 months ago was 185, does this mean I'm getting better or worse?

Hows your resting heart rate, has that got any higher recently. I only ask because you may be coming down with a virus this will make it hard to push your HR up to its maximum
Were you fully rested for the HR test
Were all your previous HR tests done in the same way
