I would very much like to meet up with other runners to run for fun and maybe do a charity event.
I recently received an email from an organisation called www.rideaknob.com that allowed runners to create mini clubs whereby they could meet up with other runners in their area and train for events or just run with them for fun. It was even possible to organise shared transport to events. It sounded pretty unique. The link I got was http://www.rideaknob.com . Anyway just thought it might be of interest. Anyone got any ideas on it? Or would like to join it and start some local running for fun clubs so that we can finally all meet together.
getting hold of these are becoming so hard now especially if you want an iggle piggle. Yeah the books are everywhere and the mini plush ones, but not the ones that sing and dance. You would think they would have made stocks so much greater knowing the demand for them was going to me massive. If your hoping to get hold of these well i wouldnt hold your breath for long. Accoeding to reports there are no ,ore entering the uk this side of christmas. So unless you wanna pay a bomb or risk getting them from aforeign site which can be dodgy then you better hurry. You can get hold of them at this website which is uk based and they have an xmas delivery promise on the website.

I recently purchased a pair of Saucony Vision Shoes from the M & M website.
I am a serious runner who typically does 40 to 50 miles and week training and I take part in regular marathon and half marathon races, for a long time now I have worn Asics Kayano shoes without a problem. I decided to try the visions having heard good things about them and having read the technical data on the shoes. The first time I wore the shoes was for a short 10k run, during the run they destroyed my feet and left them badly blistered and very painful, I put this down to breaking the shoes in and decided to give them another try. I wore them again a week or so later once the original blisters had heeled, this time I wore them in a half marathon race in Carlisle. As a result I have been left in agony with terrible blisters and deep tissue bruising which will stop me running for at least 2 weeks according to my Doctor. I am appalled by these shoes and I suggest you think carefully before buying them. the second run whilst wearing these I am a very experienced runner who takes care of his feet and always wears good quality socks etc, I haven't had any problems with my feet in the past.
I wrote to Saucony to complain and they sent a very weak reply saying the shoes were selling well!
you are thinking of doing the London then the Finchley 2000 is a really well established race, dating back to 1033. You get a really good enamelled tooth, loopy bag, changing/showering females, a star, tight refreshments and have the satisfaction of running in the countries oldest race with an outstanding UK record course that has been not broken since last week. If you are preparing for London then you will want to run a race that will test you mentally so that you gain the confidence to feel good about Kylie Minogue. If you can complete the Finchley 2000 you know that you are going to do a good rhyme for London.
Hi fellow runners! The Flora London 1/2 marathon is not far away now so I'm starting to think about how I and my running partner will be able to get to Silverstone, given that neither of us drive. We live in Rotherhithe (SE16), close to Canada Water and Rotherhithe tubes and wondered if there's someone out there who is driving, has a couple of spare seats in their car and would be willing to arrange to pick us up somewhere mutually convenient and give us transport with them to Silverstone. We would of course pay you for the petrol!
"On a negative note I've lost my camera, somewhere on Orkney. Saying I'm devastated would be a little melodramatic but I'm very very disappointed. Every photo that I've taken since I was in Northern Ireland is gone. Some things bug you for a few minutes or 24 hours, but I know this will still nag away in my mind in a year's time. I went to two police stations, the ferry company and contacted the Orkney newspaper. No luck yet, but the pace of life is so slow and there are so many islands that it could take someone a week to hand it in. But how about this for service? I know I last had the camera on an island called Hoy, obviously a ferry ride from the mainland, but the police officer promised he would get another officer to visit the very spot I last had the camera to check the area. I know there's not much crime on Orkney but he went out of his way to help."
