No matches as yet! I only ticked 5 out of 24 so I was a bit picky I guess!
I went with my sister and 2 friends and we were all really nervous beforehand but it was fine, quite tiring and I felt I had lock jaw by the end from smiling so much!
they recommend you don't go for the usual sort of questions like occupation etc but sometimes there's no avoiding it if the conversation isn't flowing easily - 3 minutes felt like a long time in some cases! A lot of people asked the question "Why speed dating" so that started things off. What was quite amazing was that there were more men than women there lastnight - surprised me anyway!
I would imagine if you ask any sort of open question (i.e. one which needs more than a fairly brief answer) that that could take up most of the time (or at least if you divide the time up roughly 50/50 which gives you 90 seconds each.
I was somewhat put off it by a thing I saw where a woman was blasting this guy with tons of either/or questions - brown bread or white bread, sort of thing like she was drilling the guy. I think I'd have told her to f*** off before the end of the three minutes!
it was more of a general conversation rather than a bombarding with questions. Some guys were a real struggle and you did have to keep asking questions, but the ones you got on with you just generally chatted. I don't think that I had the same conversation twice with anyone except for answering the usual to what do I do etc...
How do you decide? The same way as you do in normal life, ie you know if you get on with tem, like the look of them etc...
Oops - just put down on the "let me know" bit for 35-45, but I suppose that would still cover 39.
I'd much prefer someone aged 33 than (say) someone aged 38, but maybe I'm being a bit hopeful! I just get the feeling that too many women in their late thirties have their biological clock alarms going!

Had me worried for a bit there, I thought it was the other M who's going out with Zilla!
sounds like fun though - how did you get on?
I'm interested to know what questions you (M and Spans) got asked and what you thought of them, or was it all based on a more general impression?
bet that got him worried.
it's ok Zill

The fortnight before I met my now wife, Jo. I had 6 dates in 10 nights as a result of an ad placed in the paper. Fantastic times!
Don't want to hijack a thread but I thought I'd ask what peoples perception is of newspaper personal ads - they do work as I've just demonstrated.

Do you enjoy water sports?
Do you wear rubber when you do your water sports?
"Did you wear that top for a bet or are just wearing it to take the attention away from the size of your nose?"
