I've just check ed on the web site the entrant list says 254 registered for event the report was produced yesterday (01/04/08) so ya postal entry should be fine.
I'm not there either, c'mon RW, pull yer finger out and get us updated.
RD, you normally get a horsebrass instead of a normal medal, some people love em, some hate em, I hate em. Some of us were trying to think of something different as an alternative, its a special race after all and relatively expensive for a 'small do'.
Someone mentioned the race organiser had the designs for the 1908 medals - that would be cool I reckon - then again, maybe I only think that cause I've only done a few races and none of them had medals
I've entered via RW too and as far as I'm concerned confirmation email from RW is acceptance of entry.
It would be great if we had special medals or horse brasses. I did a marathon at a venue that used to be an airfield (still is really) and we got our medals as ID tags, which was cool. Also was the only race I've ever run that gave the directions/transport details including if you wanted to take your own plane.
I got a horse brass when I did the Darford Half a few years ago. I paid an extra quid, and got it mounted on a leather belt type of thing. It does look very classy.
Though I did wonder about the connection between running and horses. Were they saying I looked knackered and lame at the end
Entries 354, and rising ...................................
Got this info from Eric Hardwick, the race director. No doubt entries are coming in as I write this. Fear not, all you forumites who were afraid you might not be in - I'm sure you are, given the figure quoted above.
I forgot to mention that I've entered this one too! I will be taking my plane up to Inverness in three weeks but will be sharing it with quite a few other people!

i believe it does, ph, but up and down rather than back and forth!!
i have to have something to save til 2009 or it will be such a dull year!
Hippo, have you entered yet 'cos I couldn't see your name there (unless you're using a pseudonym!)?
i'm not on it either, but i applied through here too. they probably just haven't updated that info yet.
It would be blood typical.... all this hype saying we are in ! chatting via the forum and then not being able to run cause they messed up

Convert your Horse Brass into a Medal by attaching some silk around it and Hey Presto a medal!
( Viz top tip I'm sure)

I notice someone done a review of the race already.
Is this a ghost from the 1st race, or a very ancient subsriber
had to check that out!
that was back in 2004 - apparently he didn't think much of the organisation
Poor you Tamise, not getting medals. You must feel cheated

love the plane directions, shades!
i'm still enough of a newbie to like medals. or those glass box things with etchings on the inside. they've got plenty of time to decide anyway!
