PJ I need something short of a miracle to be racefit for Sunday. Now have vertigo on top of everything.
PJ You can have my race number if you want to run it. Would have loved to have run it but was almost sick on TT last night so I doubt I'll be miracurously right as rain by Sunday.
From some of the posts on this thread it looks like a few of you are local to this race. anyone know what the ground is like at the moment, there is also rain forcast for the next few days. Is it likley to be heavy underfoot ?? Just wondering on what shoes to wear?
Che said on a different forum that it was very muddy - I am now quite concerned that I would be better off in football boots.
TT in a tutu.....
Never mind - I will try and avoid falling and breaking anything - although I need to get myself referred to #clinic so it would be one way of getting there (I am only joking, honest - need to be intact for exams!!!)
It was muddy, but there's a couple of stretches on road and some on grass. If it doesn't rain too much before then and the sun stays the mud will dry. You can do it in flats anyway (I don't know the technical terms for shoes yet).
Barking, I worked out you were a student, but what of and where?
Nam sorry to hear you probably wont be able to do it. I still think I'm gonna wimp out. My knees have been playing up this week so dont wanna make it worse.
Barking I hope you're still gonna do it?
Che what time would we have to be down there for marshalling? I'm working till quite late the night before, so dont wanna be too zonked out
Nah I am a wimp when it comes to risking infection like that! I had to fight to get the lump taken off as it is so I dont want to risk a "told you so" or anything that might make it come back!
I am hoping to, yes Felt a bt grotty yesterday, but much better today Just getting a bit worried cos since my outing last sunday I havent run cos I was really sore. Now I think I need to go out and can move again, but dont want to get too stiff. Maybe a gentle mile or two tommorrow? Is that enough?
Is TT running in a tutu? THat will make it worth turning up that early in the morning
Che/Daz - Im a medical student at Cardiff Uni, getting rather stressed as someone pointed out today exams are in 7WEEKS!
Rio - what have you been letting people do to you? Mad!
Nam - glad you are feeling better
Yay - if there are people marshalling there will be people to shout at me and I wont be able to walk too much
Looking forward to this wonderful race again. It really isn't as bad as you may think........he said with fingers, toes and legs crossed!! The one real tricky bit is the down hill from Porthkerry caravan park to the pitch and putt course.Beware of tree roots and people shoving to get past.Last year some Muppet made a dash past me and ended up arse over apex.Oh how we laughed!
Just think, another couple of weeks and it's back into Barry for the Ty Hafen Waterfront 5K!!!

Dunno, crystal ball being serviced. If you cant decide now, just take a few pairs and decide when you get there.
