Had a flyer in the new Runners world with great price womens jacket. Phoned up because the website was showing a different price and lo and behold they had withdrawn it because of price error. Was well cheesed off.
Me too!!! I've just phoned this afternoon and they said it was £30 and the flyer said it was reduced to £18!!! Surely this is against the trade description act!? They're advertising false information!!!
Yup we do. WE make mistakes, we are human. I doesn't mean that we should get taken to the cleaners for it. Having said that Dorunning are a huge company and for that reason i have slightly less sympathy!
dorunning don't even have a running store - what help can they be to a new runner looking for advice? Personally i think Runners World should stop supporting internet companies trying to make a fast buck.....

and the point of that is??
RW is a commercial organisation so they need to raise advertising revenue - where it comes from (provided it's relevant) shouldn't matter a jot. You get this forum for free('ish) so are you prepared to pay to become a member of the forum only??? I doubt it
not all internet based companies are making a fast buck - many are offshoots of well known running shops like Runnersneed, Sweatshop etc but operate with a different business model to the shop as there are less overheads so they can offer product at less cost - and also less support to those who need to talk to shop staff.
if someone wants advice and they want the support of a shop for testing a range of kit, gait advice etc then you have to accept that this is going to cost in terms of higher prices. many don't want this so choose to buy off the web to save money.
I've ordered shoes from them twice (mainly because they were still selling an older Asics model which my local running shop didn't have anymore) and had good service both times. Shoes arrived 1 or 2 days after placing order.
Had a good chat with the director of dorunning at the FLM expo. Former sub 2:30 marathoner and top guy - really passionate about running which has to be a good thing for us customers.
I'll plug 'em cos I like 'em and I don't work for 'em.
I really like Do Running. Have purchased several pairs of shoes from them. Gave them some feedback regarding their free tees (the technical versus the cotton) and was contacted by a member of customers services and then one of their directors within 12 hours. As I had commented that I thought the free tech/drifit tees were quite useful but the cotton ones were two-a-penny to runners who get them free at races the Director also very kindly sent me a technical one to thank me for my comments.
Shame they are completely out of stock of my shoes in my size at present, either in the cheap last season colours or the more expensive ones.

Nah - it's what's called an invitation to treat - you can't hold them to it, and they are not committing any offence.
Just pi$$ing off potential customers - always a mistake!

Slightly off-topic but has anyone had any dealings, good or bad, with dorunning.com?
I'm considering getting a pair of trainers from their website but would like to hear some feedback about them first.

Cough up like every other company on here has to.
