Does anyone remember
I think it was Manchester 10k but I'm not sure-The "winner" was miles ahead and thought he had it, not realising that the guy he'd left for dead was steaming home with a late run, slowed down waving and got beaten right on the line. Didn't turn up for his silver medal.
Anyone remember the event and year please?

Can't help with that one Mr P but something similar happened in the women's race at Chicago last year. Adere ran a spectacularly fast finish.
Chicago 2007I expect there are a fair few similar examples.
