Polar watches

Apologies if this has been covered before.

The wrist strap on my Polar watch (610i) has split and I need to replace it. In my opinion it's a bit of a production/design fault, because of the way you need to bend it right back every time you put it on or take it off.

Anyway, has anyone gone about replacing one of these straps, and if so did you get a replacement from somewhere or have to send it off to Polar?
