i am a beginner too, started running about 3 months ago but am finding it hard to get out in the dark and cold and rain! I have applied for the FLM and like everyone am waiting to hear the result of the ballot Reading the posts on the forums really help keep me motivated though, it is inspiring to read about others in the same boat

I have been running regularly for a month now. Up to 3 miles 3 times a week.
I was thinking about the FLM, but thought that I wouldn't have enough time. Also I thought that I would not get a starting place this late on.
Could anyone advise me on this?
Thanks,
Tim
You are too late to get a place via the ballot. However, it is not too late to get into FLM if you want to run for a charity.
Most training schedules start in December and build from a base mileage of 15-20 miles, which you should have been doing for at least a month by then.
