On-line entry has just opened for the 2008 Tidworth 10K on 2nd November. It is organised to raise funds for the Salisbury District Hospital "Stars Appeal". Last year it attracted some criticism because the race was slightly shorter than 10K. However, I have been advised by the organisers that a completely new course has been designed for this year and it has been accurately measured to be a full 10K. The organisers have emailed me to say: "We will make every effort to make this the best charity 10K in the area this year." I have just entered and am thoroughly looking forward to running on part of Salisbury Plain not normally open to the general public. Hope some of you will join me?

Great race my first 10k, organisation was good, encouragement from the army kept me going, but it isn't all down hill after 4.5k as they kept telling me!!!
Finished in 59mins better than I could expect after 6 1/2 weeks training from scratch.
Raised over £300 for Stars Appeal now have to collect the money. Thanks again.
