Day 2 of the BIG FREEZE!!
Ran yesterday (off road) .... it was fantastic!
Ice everywhere today, but not going to attempt to join fellow commuters on SE Trains! Only 1 in 4 trains running and not to the right station in London! Pathetic! GB infrastructure in winter... PAH!

It's melting so I suppose I'd better go out and forage for food.
LordL and I are going to meet Little Lord's subject teachers for the first time ever today. Should be fun. He has to chooses his GCSE options soon. Some combination of dance,drama,music,art and larking about I expect.

hope the GCSE options choice is going smoothly LL - we wait with bated breath to see what Jnr hopes to drop when the report arrives LOL but telephone conversation thus far indicate a sensible/mature choice.
In fact I'm heading up your way today to collect from Kings Cross - York station has been reached after 3 hrs so half-term is back on

I have another week until Half Term. Is jnr home for 2 weeks bo-bo? GCSE choices going OK. History, Drama, PE looking likely. Apparently if he worked harder he'd be doing better. Goes without saying, really.

Luckily no GSCE options here or it would be French, Religion and er, um nothing much else. I would love to know how a child who speaks fluent english manages to fail english as a forgein language. Oral.
Have been swimbling tonight. Tons of snow and 1 degree in the water. Fabulous, and in case you were still wondering LL I swim in a bikini.

Good running LL - my posts have matched my miles this week, but had a lovely time (when not working!) with Jnr. He returns to the north Monday so will dust the trainers off. GSCE options seem to have a scientific/mathematical lean here - languages definitely not a strength.
Posting random nonsense is harder work than it appears.
I will post more sensibly tomorrow. In the meantime a belated Happy Valentines Day to Snappy, paul, jw, RichK,OB, PSC and Seaweed. And everyone else too!

I was pleased that it was within 6 seconds of where McMillan said I should be based on my 5k time.. 
Hoover - you are insane! I pressume there must be some health benefits for swimming in water that is that cold!

16 May is almost certainly a fixed date for a NCL tennis match that I will be trying to get out of playing in. Otherwise................

I wish I could identify which bit of my training has helped with the pace...
I suspect however that it is just the general volume of work I am doing on route to my IM! It's fun anyway....
