I have been doing 4 or 5 races a year now for the past 5 years and have accumulated quite a few medals (which are now lying in a drawer at home). Some runners must have literally hundreds of them, does anyone display them at home, and if so how? Would be interested to hear everyones thoughts on this.

I chuck mine in the bin.
I put them in a tall vase on the shelf. Holds loads and all the different coloured ribbons make for a nice visual effect.
My marathon medals are in a little wooden display box that was a couple of quid from Ikea and my marathon numbers are framed on the wall with the times underneath.
Celebrate your achievements guys!
I've thrown some away - some are so naff! Others I've kept, but in the back of a drawer.
I've got the numbers from significant races stuck on my fridge.
finishers medals and place medals for minor races are all in a shoe box. Trophies are on a couple of high shelves in the lounge with regional, national and 2 international medals hanging off them.
I haven't raced for ages so they are looking down at me ............ frowning
I have my medals hanging from a rubber plant. I call it my tree of success. It does look rubbish though!
I like medals and always feel a little disappointed if I don’t get one after a race.
How can anyone not love medals?
I keep mine (all 75 of them, yes I do keep a count) round the neck of a large plush version of my alter ego. And I refuse to accept that it is in any way sad, so there.
Hi everyone
my daugher use medals playing with hers barbies. Medals are not importan for me . Running to feel well and joking with my friends are important when i met them for ours training sessions . Mybe i prefer t-shirt that remember my the contest . I can use during my session training or my sons to go out with their friends , too.
good run

You could even sell them on e-bay to fools who want to pertend they are fit?
Used to just stick then in a box drawer ect.. Now hang a few up on the bannist in my room to motivate me into geting my arse out of bed and get some training in.
Mr LB wants to get some sort of a display case made for his 5 world marathon major medals. We saw somewhere in the US that did them but shipping was more expensive than the actual case!
If anybody DOES know somewhere that does this, I'd be interested....
Other than that, they're all flung in a drawer.....
Mine used to hang off the sides of mirrors when home was a Batchelor pad...strangely enough seem to be on show in the bottom drawer in the bedroom now.
still have some trophies on show properly (well sort of) from when I was kid - just to show that at some point that I did manage to blag some.
Not many medals given out these days around these parts. Its all chamois leathers (sorry T-shirts) or lumps of cheese!!
I haven't got the legs for nighties. got the moobs though !!
Not all trophies are bad . Some of mine t-shirts (good cotton and colors) of last old M i use for my training . Other friends do it ,too. If the cotton is bad i don't use .certanly.

I like the idea of putting them in a vase. Ive only got about 20 though, so may need a few more...or a small vase....
I keep them hanging in my room on a stone tortoise. I only keep a years worth at a time though and if I get a new one, the oldest (or most boring) gets put in the drawer for safe keeping.
My Hastings Marathon horse brass takes pride of place on my bookshelf & it will stay there forever!
Most are hung over the corners of the pinboard in the kitchen. My first half marathon and first (and only so far) full marathon ones are framed with the finish photos and hang at top of the stairs.
Good quality souvenir t-shirts I use for training (what's that again?) the cheapie cotton ones do service as jimjams
