Yes, it is flat, with one short rise into Frittenden at about 7 miles. The scenery is not dissimilar to that at Halstead and, provided it is not too hot, a PB is a definite possibility on this course. Unfortunately, family commitments mean I shall be elsewhere this year (having run the last two of these), but it's a really lovely race - even if I do tend to drive straight past the place where it's held!
Any comments from previous year runners about the course (hills, tricky bits, etc) welcome please as will be a newbie on this course on Sunday (thanks CdeC for yours).
Sorry to hear it's full discodiva. Missed out on York 10k for same reason when tried to book this week and that's not until August!
Nice conditions - good course - only argument would be with the twists n turns at the end, but small point. Well done for getting the results up so quick.
A real gem of a run: great course, great run, great organisation, great scenery, great crowd at end. First time here but will be back next year for sure.
More climbs than I'd expected from the rw.co.uk description as 'flat' and missed target time by 21 secs but well worth the running and travel effort for this one. Plus the afternoon picnic lunch and gardens etc over at Sissinghurst the perfect way to make a day of it for my wife.
Thanks also Paul H for getting the results up so quickly (aka Adrian Russell race no 389).
Martian - yes get your entry in early next year. It always winds me up when a race is fall and runners drop out. I did it yesterday with a cold, feeling crap today thou.
My guess is that with race numbers up to 600 and the results being provisional there will be more results up in the next day or two for the back fo the field? Did feel like more than 271 people at the start but not a good judge of crowd numbers. Otherwise yes agree 329 dropping out is appalling.
I could tell you were all enjoying yoruselves, I've never had so many people say "thanks marshall". Whats it worth for me NOT to publish the photos my kids took?

Ooh, it's supposed to be a lovely one this. Enjoy it. I have the North Downs 30k and Harvel in June so I am a bit busy. I will do it next year.
I expect a good race report to let me know what I am missing.
Sir CdeC - now that is a shame that you will not be there this year, we do have good taste in races

Gutted to see only 271 finishers when the race sold out.
I'll get my entry in early next year.
OK thanks Tracey G, I stand corrected.
