Incident occurred yesterday. Had anaesthetic drops in and now I've an antibiotic cream to put in my eye for the next 3 days.
Hospital were unspecific about when I could resume wearing my contact lenses - does any one know?

I was advised to leave it at least a week. Don't risk it Siance, eyes are too precious. Mind you I only had the problem in one eye so went to a couple of parties (it was Xmas) with just one in (hate my specs).
erm, havent you got an appt to go back to check its healed?
Dont wear lenses till then, till they tell you you can

Yes Hipps I went back today and they said it's healed (checked with dye etc). Eye still feels a bit sore (hot) but the painful gritty feeling's gone.
They said to go back if symptoms change / worsen and leave lenses out for 'a few days'. I figured a week?
I don't mind looking like Velma from Scooby Do
I tried wearing one lens but there's a big difference in prescription so was giving me a headache.
