Hello all - thought I'd start a fresh thread on the Liverpool Half Marathon as the last one seemed to lose it's way!
Bit of positive news to report... I've been able to negotiate the use of the internal space at the BT Conference Centre for next year so it will be possible to introduce better baggage, massage, retail, warm up and any other facilities for the day inside the Arena / BTCC building. Toilets will remain outside as we need more than are inside the building!! Oh and by the way... all of you that took a leak at the end of Park Road behind the Ibis Hotel once the race had started - you were being watched by Merseyside Police!! I've been asked to ensure the impromptu public toilet arrangements don't occur again next year.
Also looking at taking the start straight out toward Blundell Street (McDonalds) from Queens Wharf to turn left on to the main road and then follow the course as last year past the Police Station at Canning Place. Should deliver a faster start.
Entries already in from Bodmin, Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Manchester, Chester, Prestatyn, Stourbridge, Stansted, Leeds, Chesterfield, Sale, Mansfield, Northumberland, Plymouth, York, Aylesbury and Chorley. A couple have come in from Liverpool as well!!

If there were enough loos, people wouldn't pee in the street, Alan.
There are never enough loos at races!
And ME! Don't forget ME!!!! ME ME ME ME!!!! I'm in too!
Isn't this thread about me?
Wilkie - they do pee - even when there's 100 loos. Even the girls do it sometimes.....
I can't kill this thread already - can I?
Love it! - yes it should be Liverpool Half Marathon 2010!!
LB - it wasn't you I had in mind when I opened up a new thread!!
Wilkie - I shall look into the provision of urinals for next year!

Toilet roll would be good too.....
There was none in mine at the START of the day in the ones in New Brighton and I was doing a roaring trade with my antibacterial gel....
Thanks for this post. Have pencilled in next year's diary. Thinking of making a weekend of it with Mr Schmunkee and Jr Schmunks.
Alan - you've not cashed my cheque.
Don't you want me?
Am I too RED for you?
LB - I don't go to the bank every day! One day soon your entry fee will mysteriously disappear from your bank account...
Mrs Schmunkee - there is an excellent retail facility across the road from the finish area if you need any retail therapy after the race! I'm sure Jr Scmunks would like the Mersey Ferry!
Alan
Alan - money mysteriously disappears from my account all the time......
I think they call it "shopping and forgetting what you spent it on"
Hey Stephen!
Hopefully this time you can get a wriggle on and stop being such a bloody disappointment. They need to open the roads again by 2pm you know!
*pads off to check the fixture list*
I forgot it was today!
haha, don't worry I know I was disappointing this year so I'll try harder next year.
Not a bad set of fixtures to be honest, although away from Anfield on both first and last day of the season (again).
I suppose this is the weekend the clocks change again
Alan likes us to suffer Stephen.
He's a blue - he suffers all year watching the toffees
If I was half an hour behind your time I'd be singing from the top of the Liver building!
Hang on a minute - I'm a Liverbird. That's what I DO....
And a mighty fine job you do of it too
Alan,
great news - but I'm still waiting for my 2009 T-shirt and you seem to have failed to reply to both emails and PMs through here...
Will that be sorted for 2010, and will I get my Tshirt in time for it...
Apologies for the sarcasm, I don't mind things going wrong I don't them having to be sorted... I don't like being ignored....
