mel - nice one, you're a good egg. I'll start with no spacers and see how it goes.
Doozer - great idea, I dont have one, but do have the nifty half moon shaped reflectors still on the wheels that the bike shop fit, I could get some spokey dokeys for the NF too. Good job you can swim and bike faster than I can.
You're not a bad runner - you were going along pretty well at Ballbuster.
There's no way I'll be able to keep up with you in the swim and bike. I just meant you wouldnt want some lummox on a bike with a shopping basket pedalling after you.
Tri bars are on and felt pretty comfy - raised the saddle a few more mm as I felt too low. Had to move the elbow pads to the wider setting, cos I've got wide shoulders.
Managed to fix the computer to the top of the stem too.
Just freed up the brakes and changed the brake pads, I can descend Harting hill in confidence again now.
Wow, takes some getting used to those Aero bars and the sensitivity of how the steering becomes with small movements. Found a little un-nerving on downhill long decents, will have another go tomorrow.

90 mins on teh turbo today, felt good with lower bars, I'll put the aero bars on at the weekend.
Where does teh computer go now though ? theres elbow pads in the way.
i use one of these little things
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Profile_Tri_Bar_Computer_Mount/5360012977/
fits on the tribars and pokes in to the space between them. you could probably make a low tech one with some tape and a cork!
you can also get mounts that go in the centre
