Without Limits and Prefontaine are two of my favourite films ever.
Other running films I've got on dvd are 'Dean Karnazes - Ultra Marathon Man' and 'Spirit Of The Marathon'
Sports related film
Breaking away - cycling film from the 70s, very short shorts
Belleville - best film about cycling, evah
but some i knew would get mentioned like, forest gump..lol
the Ringer, is another good film, about the para-olympic's, but its the kids that are the star of the film, not exploited..great comdey
please keep them coming... jim
James Bond - Casino Royale and District 13 (dir Luc Beson) - both fantastic examples of parkour (free running) in action.
Mission Impossible 3 - Tom Cruise goes for it in that
million dollar baby-amazing boxing film.
A bit obscure but in great movie Hot Fuzz, Piers Brosnan's character was accused of using his skills
as a fun runner to commit a crime
The Four Minute Mile - stayed up well beyond my bedtime the night before an exam because I couldn't stop watching. Even though I know how it turns out in the end
Run Fat Boy Run - I know it's already been said, but I love that film. Towards the end of the marathon when asked how he feels, Simon Pegg responds: "How the f**k do you think I feel?" Hilarious
Go to Amazon.co.uk and search for Running the Sahara on DVD
I've got this and it's pretty good. 3 guys attempt to run across the Sahara. Narrated by Matt Damon.
pleaes keep the films coming,
Sports related too, is always good...
thx all
Sadly, the film - which I think was called Spirit - never went on general release. I heard a rumour that it was shown on telly once but I've never seen it.
.....
The Games is a great film - Michael Crawford did some serious training with Gordon Pirie in preparation.
please keep them coming... thx
The Goonies - When Chunk does the Truffle shuffle, every vhild in the country should watch it to male them exercise more.

'The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner'
or (sport not running) 'This Sporting Life'
3 hour high school basketball documentary Hoop Dreams is the best sports film ever.
I fact, it's one of the best films ever.
