The English ones were stolen Welsh ones anyway. Nice to know that we have set up a little Welsh/Spanish colony (like Merthyr Tydfil?) in darkest England.
Oh yeah, back garden, Monmouthshire and Brecon canal, forested hillside, ducks, Robin, blue tits, long tailed tits, great tits, dunnock, blackbird, starling, cat licking lips, fat next door neighbour hanging out washing.
What can I see? Well, when the blinds are opened (very rare occasion - I'm slowly becoming a mole!!) I can see 2 car parks and the warehouse, a few trees, the dump left when the gypsies were moved off the car park, oh and Risley Remand Centre!!
The view from my desk is more desks as I face into the centre of the office, however if I turn around, then I look out across a car park. Across the car park I can see a bank of trees behind which lies Ferry Meadows country park!
Depends which hot desk I sit at in the office, but usually it's London Bridge station....if I'm working at home it's much better, I can look out at the block of flats opposite and can watch the local nutter when he's out and about doing strange things with litter and empty baked bean cans.
And the squirrels - they're VERY entertaining, especially when they try to do acrobatics along next door's washing line to get to the bird feeders - brilliant!
From my office, school playing field and Mortimer's Forest, venue for a very tough 10 miler in December.
From my lab, the netball courts, a couple of houses and the skyline of Ludlow (big church, castle), and, for the past couple of weeks a nest of very angry and bored wasps ( the frosts do not seem to have affected them).
From my office I can see a big pile of barrels up against the window and bars on the windows - and from the lab I can see the sky because the window is so high that I can't see antyhing else.
Indeed I do live (and work) in Peterborough. By the sounds of it you work at Travelex, the old Thomas Cook building. I used to work in there too up until 1996.
I'll send you an email if tou fancy a correspondence or two.
I can see the office car park, and behind that is Sainsburys petrol station. If I press my face to the window, I can see a train approaching Gloucester station from Cheltenham
So can I jose, all I've got is a window above my head. And it's a horrible overcast, dull, grey sky. No birds, just grey clouds. Horrible, dark, grey clouds. Just clouds, clouds and more clouds.
I used to look out across some roof tops with Tower Bridge under half a mile away.
Now I look out on the office block opposite, I walk to the other side of the office I can still see Tower Bridge though.
There are also some roof gardens which caused quite a stir a few years back when one of the secretaries from the office opposite thought she was safe climbing onto the roof for a bit of lunch time topless sun bathing, didn't quite reckon on the fact that our office was above hers and all our desks faced the window!
Comments
If i can help on that, please do not hesitate
Can't see out very well as the window is covered in egg - I've very impressed that someone managed to throw and egg to the 2nd floor!
Mustard Beak do you work in Peterborough?
