Handing me a bottle of olive oil and a couple of foot of rubber tubing the AA Man who saved me today said "you'd be amazed what you find in peoples boots!"
So... what strange collection of items do you always have to hand in the car boot?
oil - not the virgin olive type. empty water bottles (i think they breed in there - there seems to be more every time i look!) a jumper some socks a cycling helmet
Actually I wouldn't recommend the AA as a way to meet men - last monght I spent 3 hours being towed home and I lost count of the number of wives the guy had been through!
1) A Barbour jacket 2) An oil can (for motor oil, not extra virgin olive oil) 3) A couple of old Gaurdian Newspapers 4) A couple of spare training manuals 5) Some whiteboard/flipchart pens
I was at a race in the summer where the boot of the car opposite was full of clear plastic boxes. One for clean clothes, one for towels, one for dirty kit etc I had never seen anything like it.
Ummmmm - not sure. I think the waterproofs and hiking boots are in there, some old newspapers, probably some empty water bottles, lots of mud, sand and other remnants of the holiday in Devon in September, a map book (at least, I can't find it in the car itself so I'm hoping it's in the boot) and a bag of stuff for Oxfam that I haven't got round to taking in yet....oh and some old tools that were in my mother-in-law's car boot (don't know why they're in ours now, we've had them about a year) and probably a spare wheel somewhere, never had to use it so I don't know....
My boot is pristine - only containing 1 (boxed) pair of car seat protectors for when the weather is really bad when I've been running and I can use them so i don't ruin my beautiful grey leather seats. Come on now, the car's only 4 months old, give it time!
1x mini umbrella, 1x golfing umbrella, 1x standard-sized Tigger umbrella 3x Daily Mails (from June, August and yesterday) A single airbed and pump which plugs into cigarette lighter Picnic blanket Patchwork quilt(!!!) Breakdown bag with tow rope, jump leads, warning triangle, torch, screwdrivers (a relic from my very first car which broke down every other month like clockwork - the AA men in South Wales all knew me by name!!) 3x empty juice bottles 2x novels
I imagine there's a spare wheel in there too, but God knows where I'd put the rest of the junk if I ever had to change a flat tyre!!
