There has been a big intake of entries for this event and would advise to get all entries in as soon as possible as we will have to cap the limit soon.
Am also planning to drive there in the morning, coming from Surrey M3, will need parking. Entered online - will I be sent the race number/route beforehand?
I am thinking of entering this as I need to do a half marathon for London marathon training however am concerned about coming last as it will be the last thing i need confidence wise!
BW - no such thing as last - think of the thousands of people who can't be a***d to get off the sofa, they are all way behind people like you and I.
I am a plodder and hope to complete this in approx. 2 hours and 11 minutes - that's a nice steady 10 min mile pace although I normally run a little harder for the first 10 miles at say 09:40 pace and then fade badly at the end!
Hi BW - I'm a plodder too but I prefer smaller events as friendlier, I think I don't mind pacing you if you like - am opposite of PP, I go real slow in the first half then pace up a bit later on...but will still be slow

What speed do you all run at?
If not may find a bigger race to calm nerves!
Ive entered this and will be plodding along as I have a 20 mile race the following weekend and don't want to wear myself out (didn't check dates when I entered )
i live in pompey and am doing this race and can safely say it is FLAT. the hilliest it gets is running over a bridge. it should be a pretty good course, the route is mostly tarmac pavements/gravel. it goes through milton common which will have some grass, but road shoes will be fine.
and in terms of speed i wouldn't worry, it should be pretty chilled, and i'll be plodding out 10-11min miles with my dad and triathlon buddy.i haven't got any decent long runs in thanks to the ice, but i'm feeling good and have done plenty of cross training and lots of runs up to 6miles. plus i have lost 3 stone so that feels good too when running.
Hi all, I would like to enter as I have always supported rnli, and the timing is good for my training, but my knees/hips really dont do tarmac at all well ... so where is this pic of the route ?
There are 6 robert piggotts on facebook and none of them have anything like running or portsmouth and nothing for coastal half marathon portsmouth or anything similar
Whats the likelihood of entries on the day or will it be full before then? I dont want to commit as i am doing the Bramley 20 the weekend before and the Ryde 10 the weekend before that!
i am coming from the Isle of Wight on foot. What is the best way to come. And what is the easiest way to get to the start?
Am doing a half in Barcelona the week before and the Ryde 10 the week before that so am going ot have a good month. Am not going to be the fastest ive ever been as this weather has really restricted any training. However, going to enjoy it, am looking forward to this one.
I'd given up trying to find the facebook group as well Same problem as many others I suppose, in that haven't been really doing much running due to weather/road conditions and also the left foot is giving me problems again so I'll be plodding along herding everyone from the back, I think

I read on one of the web sites that the limit was 250 people is that right?
thanks.
Hi Phil.
limit will be 600
Thanks Rob,
That sounds much better, i started to think i might come last but hopefully out of 600 i might not be last after all. lol.
Phil.
Would like to enter this one but thinking transport. Not sure where this starts and is it near a train station?
Basically, will be coming up from London in the morning so wondering if it is workable?
Cheers.
Hi Rob,
I read the route description from your web site, do you have a detailed map of the course/route?
Cheers
