Woke up this morning with 'some' pain in my foot after the five miler yesterday. Nothing too bad but enough to be able to talk to the physio about it. She's now not sure if it's the big toe flexor or the anterior tibalis. To be fair the pain is sort of where they cross over so it could be either/both. So I've had some u/sound/massage and manipulation on both and plan to do more running than cycling in the coming week. Ideally I'll find I have no problem but if there is still an issue this should flush it out.
Plans for the weekend are a bit weather dependant but it might be long run tomorrow (and 7 counts as long these days ) and a couple of hours on the road bike Sunday morning.
Manic day at work, with all the Newspaper bundles I have carried around the last couple of days I am going to start including it as cross training! Didn't get out today, but am hopeful for tomorrow after work....
Work 'stuff' stopped me doing my 7miler at work yesterday lunchtime. So I went out for 4 miles of 'tempo' straight after dropping the kids off for school. Quick shower, then into work. Now working through lunch to make up. Ain't flexitime great?
MTBing tomorrow night so the 7miler is now scheduled for Thursday lunchtime.
I think I need to get another, longer race entered so I step the mileage up a bit rather than just ticking over.
I've had a weekend off doing family and house stuff.
My foot's still OK and I was discharged from physio on Friday.
Planning a run (of some sort) tonight - a lot depends on the weather - if it's rain I'll go and do a few hill sprints, if it's dry I'll get this week's long run out fo the way.
Just back in from 5.7 hilly miles to find a plate of homemade curry
Plymouth's a bit far for me - I think I've got planned the Alsager 5, Nick Beer 10K (Llandudno), Stafford Half and Freckleton Half. And the Cumbrian Christmas Cracker in a fortnight but that's a bike thing.
Hi all, hope you don't mind me jumping in, i did have a mooch through but couldn't see a link - anyone know when registration opens for the mara? I'm very keen to get this one under my belt next yr, heard its a good one.
sorry Plymouth is unlikely for you Higs. I am only going for it coz on holiday in devon. Will bbe doing Alsager 5 though as is only a few miles from where I live.
