got a 310xt cos I'm over-compensating for a complete lack of athletic prowess.
Do garmin users have useful tips for setting up - eg software - should I look for updates, what are useful settings to change, which websites are better than others if want to upload/download/sideload things?
For instance it starts looking for satellites immediately I switch on. As I want to use it indoors (it would be nice to know HR when I engage in certain vigorous indoor activity), I guess I change that setting so it looks only when I tell it to fetch. That sort of thing would be useful.
I do plan to read the manual, honest. Just not today.
