Our 2009 races that was ( How CHUFFED I am ) with 53 races
43 weeks to compete out of the years 52, we did doubles . We did allsorts
This is on the score of running what we did put together a most superb year of events,
Our general blog of 2009 with thanks to people will be drafted soon
I really didn’t think at one point it would happen, what with Wokingham HM being cancelled in February
And the events diary for us didn’t look brilliant at all , then of course I have to split my time between Phil & Mrs Mick
I really am just so pleased about it all, in actual fact I’m just chuffed, to cap it all, End of year Buntingford 10 miler did go ahead after the threat from the weather and we clocked a scintillating 1:35, when we arrived the organisers gave us a action photo of us taken by them at St Neots HM , and that really was the icing on the cake for me
We never really went in search of any pub’s TBH

Congratulations Mick. I have seen you at a few of the races I have done and have always been so impressed. You are an inspiration to a lot of people. I hope you have an even more successful 2010 and I look forward to saying hello maybe at Gloucester FM?
Tricia
Are you going to beat this in 2010.
Blimey, that is one impressive racing diary. How do you guys do it?
Puts my 17 races in 2009 to shame
Wow- well done Mick, Phil is lucky to have you.
All the best for 2010- really hope to see you at an event sometime
Amazing, simply amazing M&P,
I enjoyed our brief chats & seeing you guys at a couple of those events esp the M&P half.
Have a great 2010.
well done both of you, thats quite an achievement, good luck and I hope you have a great years racing next year.
Fantastic achievement there Mick n Phil, long may it continue.
Happy New Year to both yourselves and your family, hope to catch you in 2010
That race list is certainly some achievement ! You're a great runner Mick and a wonderful dad. What other young man in Phil's position finds himself hurtling through the cheering finish of a road race not once, but 53 times this year alone. And, not content with that, you also go out of your way to encourage and support other runners. What fantastic inspiration to the rest of us.
Happy New Year to you and your family. Long may you run.
Brilliant achievement! As mentioned before you ARE an inspiration. Thanks for the kind words after I struggled at the Macc Half, it was very kind! I will always have memories of you passing me on that blxxdy 2 mile hill
Terrific scenes Mick. I mean I've done 24 races this year, but majority have been 10k and under, not he vast majority being half marathons! And often back to back ones at that!
Particularly liked the mad burst of 4 races in 4 days in May! Great stuff
28 half marathons! exactly double my total...but in 1 year!!
54 races next year?
