I once ran the coast to coast in a pair of flip flops. They made a funny sound a bit like flop flip. Imagine my suprise when I discovered that I'd got them on the wrong feet. I won't be making that mistake again.
Can anyone tell me if the Asics Kayano Flip Flop IX is as good as the Kayano Flip Flop VIII. I find the version VIII fli flop is superb, it not only keeps the sand out of my toes but they look great with my bermuda shorts and hawaian shirt!
BBB - it shouldn't matter what they look like - as long as they fit well - try lots on at the shop and buy the ones that fit best - don't forget to wear your usual socks when doing this!
Serious question, where can I get hold of XC or trail flip flops as I would like to use them in the Sodbury Slog? And how do the compare with the Sodbury slip slops?
I am a serious flip flop wearer and have been walking about in flip flops for several years. I took Waapster's advice and kicked one off my foot and across the room. It actually went fliiiiiiiiiiiip thwack as it hit one of my work collegues right between the eyes.
As a result I have now got two black eyes, a broken nose and several teeth knocked out of my mouth.

As an experience flip flop user, I generally push the pins downwards from the upper side of the sole.
