Why camelbak

I know this is a gear question really,- but I'd like opinions on camelbaks from dual runner/cyclists.

I run and/or cycle to work most days, and am looking for a new pack.- From what I can see, the TransAlp is the right sort of size pack for carrying spare clothes to work.- Trouble is, the going rate for them is about 120 pounds.

Are camelbaks really worth the extra?
or can anyone recommend another make suitable for running and cycling?
