Our club starts training at 7.30pm,but nearer 7.40pm waiting for latecomers. I think this is too late. A 6.30pm start would mean extra weeks in daylight,as the temperature drops, warmer conditions in winter and as training finishes earlier, getting home by eightish. When does your club start training?

this old carthorse needs to get in shape
starting from beginning after being away from triathlons for 5 years
can only run at nite due to laughter and pointing and kids getting frightened
unfair thats is
Too early for me - I can just about make it if the train runs exactly on time. Wish they'd move it to 7.30 so I don't have to rush like a lunatic just to get there on time!
Go to leisure centre foyer 7pm.
Wait for women to materialise -7.05pm
Fanny around deciding who's doing what in which group - 7.10 pm
Run for an hour
(Club sessions always an hour for some reason, unless by complicated prior arrangement).
Sit round and wait for latecomers as well as watching the rugby players, we share clubhouse with, walk around in their little shorts before going out and getting all muddy.
Sorry, forgot where I was then.
Train for at least an hour.
Thursdays 8:15 for 8:30 start for commuters so they can eat before coming to training.
Run for 1-1.5 hours.
Personally I'd prefer an earlier start, but then I live very close to work and I guess we have to think about the people who have further to travel.
Last club in the UK was 7.00 which seemed fair - although most people lived locally, they certainly didn't work locally, and the traffic in the area was terrible. I was always late though. 7.30 would have been better for me (but I still would have been late... something about time expanding to fit, or however the saying goes).
Juniors 6.15 on both nights.
Like most, we usually start about 5 minutes late. On the first Thursday run of the month we start bang on 7pm, so we aren't late for the pub.
Meet at 6.30
Warm up at 6.45 for the session to start by 7.15.
Sundays
10.30
A 7.30 start means not finishing until 8.30/8.45 which would be way too late for us by the time we've got home, eaten something, got the kids to do their homework, etc.
Our club is in London suburbs so many people have to get back home and then to the club which takes time. 7pm is quite challenging for lots of us.
WildWil are you a Straggler or were you just talking about stragglers? I belong to the 'other' local club.
An extra 15-30 mins would make a lot of difference.
Now if I can only persuade them to go for 6.45 I could just about make it....
They don't see much at the moment anyway as I am injured
Go-KL sorry to hear you are injured at the moment:( hope you get better soon have you been injured long, bet your missing your running, take care,
I am missing the running but I am doing some killer exercises on my eliptical trainer to hopefully see me back fitter than ever!!! Aim to try and run again next week.
