Ah good luck! I too am off to the pub tonight - fundraising pub quiz for our girls cycling club. I'll have to see if I can impress any men with my vast wealth of knowledge *coughs*
Sorry Pea but Javier was out of stock this morning when I put the order in. They offered an alterntive product but I said you'd rather wait. Apparently he's quite a popular chap
I do now try to consciously not give off too many friendly vibes in work situations as it's just plain akward when it's misunderstood. I don't like to have to be anything other than me but I've had a couple of stalker type situations before which have arisen out of polite interest being mistaken for something more. I am still very much me in other social situations though
Ooooh, and I am no longer a 'reject' as far as London is concerned .... could this mean that I will no longer be a reject in lurve race either .....
Easierly said Parky but from blokes perspective if someone get’s the wrong idea or takes something the wrong way can be a massive problem. I’m talking from experience.
FFS you pinched my arse what was I supposed to think !

Day I pince someone's bum is just after I buy the Dairy mail and start liking F1.
...so what do all you single guys do to proactively meet someone? (go out to clubs, pubs, go on dating websites etc) or do you all just drift along hoping to bump into someone?
"How to handle a woman? There's a way," said the wise old man, "A way known by ev'ry woman Since the whole rigmarole began." "Do I flatter her?" I begged him answer. "Do I threaten or cajole or plead? Do I brood or play the gay romancer?" Said he, smiling: "No indeed. How to handle a woman? Mark me well, I will tell you, sir: The way to handle a woman Is to love her...simply love her... Merely love her...love her...love her."
There will be a person who looks like they belong to a cult wandering about this thread saying 'buy a rose for the loveleeee laydee' soon if we're not careful

I like roses, they are my favourite flowers No man has ever bought me any though, I have to buy my own
Hmm, I don't think so.... Not that I can recall anyway! The guys i've been with aren't the sort to have wanted flowers, and would have probably thought 'WTF?!'. I, however, am the sort who loves flowers, and would think 'Fabulous!' if a man bought me some
Edit: i've sent a man chocolates before, does that count?!
I wouldn't get excited by the flowers themselves, more by the gift. I've never understood why some women seem to see it as a one way street as far as gifts are concerned.

Oh no I wouldn't say that. Or I mean I don't think that. I have to admit I don't think a guy should always be buying me stuff, not at all. I wee gift (or 'minding' as we say in Scotland), when unexpected, would be fab, and much appreciated, but isn't necessary. I would definitely get my guy some wee things as a surprise, and would love to do so Giving is as much fun as receiving

Just interested to know.

Right two can play at that game!
If wishes were like leaves,
falling from the sky,
an dreams could all come true,
what in the world would I do?
I wouldnt want a porsche,
or to win the lottery,
not for me a diamond,
nor fame nor celebrity,
All I want is you,
that would be the best,
if you were here beside me,
I'd be rich enough.
Don't make me get out the big guns.
Best advice of the thread Cake
The trick is finding the person you can be yourself with, rather than contriving to be what you think they want.
Aye, very true!
Oh, and 'Awwwww' to you too Cake
Ah but Lea, have you ever bought flowers for a man?

Sorry folks, was feeling a little melancholy last night. Comes and goes.
A friend bought me some sunflowers recently and it was lovely to receive them (step forward and blush TP).

*resist the joke, RESIST......*
Aw TP you are a sweetheart!
