I ran this for the first time last year and really enjoyed it, 9 miles over Cheshire's rough terrain. The club, South Cheshire Harriers and marshalls made me feel so welcome and did not mind my slow pace of running. I liked the part of the race when we ran up to the church and through the grave yard.
Must get my fancy dress sorted out, there is a prize for the best costume
Any one else going to give it a go?
Entry info can be found on the South Cheshire Harriers www.southcheshireharriers.org.uk

Hi, I am doing this one along with friends, what is the 'terrain' like as I will be running in road trainers, is this wise??
We aim to wear some sort of halloween costume..

I really like this race. Done it twice. Hopefully I can make it 3 times this year
Does everyone run in fancy dress?
Dont want to turn up either over dressed or under dressed
I ran most of the route this weekend, a few good muddy bits but nothing you couldn't manage in older trainers.
Don't forget the special beer as an incentive
well some of the marshals went over the course this morning and the first half is quite muddy and wet in places.
There is now a prize for best fancy dress in the main race, so look out your costumes
What a great race, a big thank you to South Cheshire Harriers, all the marshals, the race sponsors and Mike Cutler for yet another fantastically run race.
Bryan Dale has started to upload the photo's of the race on his website, www.racephotos.org.uk .
