Hey, only just found this forum. How'd everyone get on. I finished in 46:30 which is a PB for me so I'm well pleased. Would have disappointed if I didn't get sub 50, but was hoping for sub 48 at best.
Hey, well done on your time. Do you know where on line I can find the official times? Think I got in under 40 but want to be certain. Great morning, bloody windy but great morning. Loved running over the barrage.
the event has disappeared from the listings. I ran it today, booked it through runners world, would have been nice to left feedback. Would do it again but i think the organisation beforehand and on the day itself is pretty much hit and miss.
I really enjoyed it. Not sure we got as much benefit from the tail wind as we had to contend with the head wind but I thought it was a good route, lots of time to distract myself people watching the faster people on the other side of the first stretch and the barrage and a nice medal. It was also good to have chip timing although with a clock at the end I didn't really need the chip! Nice relaxed event but a bit more detailed info would have been useful (e.g. there was no info about the bag drop off so I left mine at tourist info in the city centre!). Can't find the results though. The website is only showing 2010 race info and results.
Wind was indeed tough. 39.42 !!!! Am chuffed with my time. Thought it was a fab race. def do again. Bit of a palaver getting to a car park and a 5 pound parking!! But worth it. Lovely medal tho. Next time will take kids as very kid friendly with free stuff for them.
