    Sorry everyone, been out of circulation. Yes Barry is safe and well with me but ready to move on to a new challenge. If someone wants to share an address I will send him onwards. I think he is actually enjoying all the sport on TV and time relaxing in the sunshine. I know he didn't like the thunderstorm last Friday!

    Bit of a panic on now, only just started decorating his room and getting him some goodies like linseed oil, wood shavings bath and sandpaper (heard he likes a bit of rough!!)....right on with the woodchip wall papering then....

    He's been very good, honest.

    As long as there is plenty food and drink and a comfy bed at night he's been fine.

    I've messaged 9sqrun so hope to get him on his way tomorrow. There are so many good people willing to open up their homes to him.

    Barry has landed!!! sorry I forgot to tell you he got here yesterday, thanks Irene.

    I also forgot to tell the other arf, she thought I got here a 'special' birthday present! Should have seen her trying to get the batteries in.........some of that oil stuff and a rest will sort him out! Lucky he's a hard arse!!

    Anyway got to get him a pizza and some tinnies.......and a bag of frozen peas?

    Barry has completed the Lakeland 50 in 14hours 46 minutes and came in 169th out of 404 (469 started)

    He enjoyed the food at the checkpoints, but was upset without beer to drink!!

    Took some pics, but too big to load!! any one know how to reduce the size to below 250kb?

    Will try to contact  Jimmy Hendry or Philip Teece to send him on his way.

    Only if the next runner can't be got hold of as British Rail doesn't move that fast. image
